Why dive here
With 54+ marine species recorded in the area - including sea turtles, tiger sharks and pufferfish - Lotus Diving offers some of Koh Tao's richest diving. Water ranges 29-31°C, warmest April, May, June.
Lotus Diving on Koh Tao offers a decent enough dive. We often find the visibility here can be a bit of a mixed bag, sometimes it's great, other days it's just okay, so temper expectations. What you will see are a lot of the usual suspects – plenty of silver demoiselles darting around, and we’ve spotted saddleback clownfish nestled in their anemones. The staghorn coral patches are healthy, providing homes for chain-line wrasse and goldmann’s sandgobies. It’s a comfortable dive, usually without strong currents, making it a good spot for newer divers looking to get their fins wet.
