Why dive here
With 54+ marine species recorded in the area - including sea turtles, tiger sharks and pufferfish - Pirate Divers offers some of Koh Tao's richest diving. Water ranges 29-31°C, warmest April, May, June.
Pirate Divers, off Koh Tao, often gets overlooked for some of the flashier sites, but it's a solid choice for a relaxed dive. We’ve found it’s usually calm here, making it ideal for newer divers or those who just want to cruise. You’ll weave through some nice patches of staghorn and branch coral, keeping an eye out for honeycomb groupers lurking in the shadows and plenty of wrasse darting about. It’s a reliable spot for spotting fluted clams, too, their iridescent mantles a surprisingly vibrant flash against the coral.
