Kata Beach North Reef - Similan Islands

Kata Beach North Reef, on the Similan Islands, is a straightforward, shallow dive, perfect for those just getting their fins wet or looking for a relaxing second dive. The maximum depth of 9 metres means you’ve got plenty of bottom time to drift along, spot banded sea snakes winding through the coral, or watch the resident clownfish defending their anemone homes. We’ve found it’s a great spot for honing buoyancy or taking photos without worrying about currents. It's a gentle introduction to the Similans, best enjoyed when you’re not chasing big pelagics.
