Koh Kai /Chicken Island - Similan Islands

Chicken Island, or Koh Kai as the locals call it, often gets overlooked for its flashier neighbours in the Similans, but we've always found it a solid spot for a chilled-out dive. At a maximum depth of 13 metres, it’s a perfect place to ease back into diving or for those just starting out. You'll find the reef slope gently down, mostly hard corals forming a stable base for the smaller reef fish. Look out for angelfish flitting between the bommies and we often spot cuttlefish here, especially if you take your time to peer into the crevices. It’s a gentle introduction to the Similans' offerings, without the strong currents sometimes found elsewhere.
