Koh Tachai, West Reef - Similan Islands

Koh Tachai, West Reef is a good spot to relax and take it slow, especially if you’ve spent a few days battling currents on some of the other Similan sites. It’s pretty shallow, topping out at 19 metres, making it an easy dive for newer divers or those who just want to extend their bottom time. We usually find it’s home to a good variety of the usual reef suspects – lionfish hovering under ledges, schools of snapper, and plenty of anemonefish darting amongst their homes. It’s a comfortable dive, not one to set any records, but consistently pleasant.
