Similan island #9 - Similan Islands

When we're easing into a Similan trip, Island #9, or Koh Bangu, often makes the roster. It's a gentle slope, maxing out at about 22m, making it a comfortable spot for newer divers or those getting their buoyancy dialed in. You'll drift over big granite boulders encrusted with hard corals, spotting various reef fish darting in and out. Look closely in the cracks and you might find a moray eel peeking out. It's not the Similans' most dramatic dive, but it's reliably pleasant and a good warm-up.
