Endeavour Reef - Great Barrier Reef

Grecian Rocks is one of those Florida Keys sites that often gets overlooked for its flashier neighbors, but we’re here to tell you it’s a mistake to skip it. This place is a classic, shallow reef dive, perfect for stretching out a tank and just soaking it all in. We often point new divers here, but honestly, it’s a fantastic refresh for anyone who enjoys a relaxed dive with plenty to see without battling current. What we really love about Grecian is the sheer variety of small stuff. You can spend an entire dive in one small area, spotting little sand gobies darting into their holes, or a shy Florida blenny peeking out from a crevice. Look closely and you’ll find coney and hamlets tucked in the coral, and we’ve seen some surprisingly robust schools of French grunts congregating under ledges. The ridged cactus coral and pointed pencil coral create some interesting textures, and the way the light filters through the shallows makes everything feel incredibly vibrant. Keep an eye out for Atlantic yellow cowries; they’re often tucked into the nooks, a lovely splash of color against the rock. Our best tip? Go slow. The beauty here is in the details.
