Why dive here
With 154+ marine species recorded in the area - including hammerhead sharks, sea turtles, tiger sharks and napoleon wrasse - Pandora Reef offers some of Great Barrier Reef's richest reef diving. Water ranges 24-30°C, warmest January, February, March.
Pandora Reef offers a solid Great Barrier Reef dive, though it won't always blow your mind. We typically find healthy hard coral formations and a decent array of reef fish, parrotfish, and wrasse, just like many other spots. Visibility is generally good, making it a reliable choice for less experienced divers or those looking for a relaxed afternoon. It’s a good, standard GBR experience.
Safety Notes
