Tree Peaks - Saxon Reef - Great Barrier Reef

Tree Peaks on Saxon Reef is one of those easy-going spots, a good pick when you just want to get wet without a fuss. It’s pretty shallow, topping out at 14 metres, so bottom time isn't an issue and it's perfect for newer divers or anyone looking for a relaxed afternoon. You’ll drift past bommies that are home to plenty of angelfish and parrotfish, sometimes a sleepy reef shark tucked under an overhang if you’re lucky. We often see a few curious cuttlefish here too, hovering just off the coral. It’s not going to blow your mind, but it’s a solid, enjoyable dive, a real classic Great Barrier Reef experience.
