Pelican rock - Sandy Island

Pelican Rock is a decent stop when you’re out at Sandy Island, especially if you’ve had enough of just lounging on the sand. It’s a pretty straightforward pinnacle dive, topping out at 15 metres. We find it's best for a relaxed second dive, an easy current drift around the central rock formation. You’ll see plenty of the usual Caribbean suspects: parrotfish munching on the corals, queen angelfish gliding by, and the occasional barracuda hanging motionless in the blue. It’s a good intermediate spot, nothing too challenging, but a pleasant enough way to spend an hour underwater.
