Tug boat - Sandy Island

The Tug boat off Sandy Island is exactly what it sounds like, a proper old tug, sitting upright and complete in just 10 metres. We love how accessible this wreck is, perfect for newer divers or those who just want a relaxed second dive. You can swim right through the wheelhouse, checking out the old controls, and poke around the engine room. It’s a small wreck, but chunky, with plenty of nooks. Over the years, it's become a fantastic artificial reef. Look out for the resident green moray eel often peeking from a pipe, and we’ve seen big schools of French grunts swirling around the bow. On the sand nearby, we often spot southern stingrays half-buried. Our favourite part? The light filtering through the clear Caribbean water, illuminating the wreck. It's truly a photogenic spot, especially around midday. It’s a site that proves you don't need depth for a great wreck dive; character and accessibility win every time.
