Happy Divers Aruba - Aruba Leeward Coast

Okay, so Happy Divers Aruba. We’re going to be honest, the name isn't exactly inspiring, but this spot on the Leeward Coast is actually one of our go-to easy dives when we want something chilled. It’s not going to blow your mind with massive pelagics, but it delivers consistent, pleasant diving. Think soft, sandy bottom with scattered coral heads and a surprising number of small, interesting critters if you take your time. We love the feeling of drifting gently here, eyes peeled for the little guys. You'll often find tobacco basslets darting between the rocks and our favourite, the spotted goatfish, sifting through the sand with their barbels. We’ve had some cracking encounters with hawksbill turtles here, just lazily cruising by, completely unfazed. Visibility generally stays decent, around 15-20 meters, which makes for very relaxed photography conditions. It’s a site that really suits new divers or anyone looking for a stress-free afternoon underwater, maybe after a morning of more adventurous diving. It's also a great spot for an easy second dive, winding down the day. Keep an eye out for the smaller cones and cowries, the sandy patches often hold some real treasures.
