Glass Window Bridge - Nassau & New Providence

The Glass Window Bridge isn't about deep reefs or pelagic encounters, it’s about history and the way the sea reclaims things. We love this wreck for its atmospheric feel, sitting in a relatively shallow cut just off Nassau. You’ll find the remains of a steel-hulled freighter, broken into sections, scattered across a sandy bottom. We’ve spent many a dive here, navigating through the skeletal ribs of the hull, spotting schools of sergeant majors darting through the rusted metal. Look closely and you’ll find moray eels tucked into crevices, their heads peering out. The structure attracts plenty of reef fish, parrotfish grazing on algae that clings to the wreck, and small snapper holed up in the deeper sections. It’s a gentle dive, perfect for photographers wanting to capture that interplay of light, shadow, and decaying steel, or for anyone who appreciates a bit of maritime history beneath the waves. Visibility can vary with the tide, but we’ve generally found it quite clear, especially on an incoming flow.
