RISING SUN - Nassau & New Providence

The Rising Sun, a motor vessel that found its resting place in 1988 after an unfortunate run-in with some coral heads near the ship channel, sits in a very accessible 7 meters of water. It’s a great spot for newer divers, or anyone looking for a relaxed, shallow exploration. We’ve always enjoyed how the wreck itself has become a home, with schools of grunts hanging around the superstructure and the occasional turtle gliding past. You can fin right over the top, peering into the hull, and observe the way the corals are slowly but surely claiming it as their own.
