Diving Center - Grand Cayman
The team at Diving Center really knows their way around Grand Cayman's West Wall. We’ve always found their smaller boat sizes make for a much more relaxed trip out, avoiding the cattle-boat feel some of the bigger operations can have. They specialise in those shallower reef dives that often get overlooked, but are absolutely bursting with macro life. We’ve spent whole dives with them just poking around the coral heads at Bonnie’s Arch, spotting everything from tiny flamingo tongue snails to shy nurse sharks tucked under ledges. Our favourite time to dive with them is a morning two-tanker, heading out before the crowds descend. Ask for Captain Dave, if you can. His knowledge of where the eagle rays hang out near Doc Poulson wreck is uncanny. We love that they don't rush you; if you're engrossed in a moray eel poking its head out, they let you watch. Expect solid briefings, well-maintained rental gear, and generally good vibes. They’re a great choice if you’re looking to escape the hustle and focus on the smaller, often more rewarding, details of the reef.
