With 107+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, dolphins, humpback whales, manta rays and mobula rays (devil rays) - Las Terrazas offers some of Varadero's richest diving. Water ranges 25-31°C, warmest July, August, September.
Las Terrazas offers a gentle introduction to Varadero's underwater world, ideal for newer divers. The site stays around 15 metres, making it comfortable for those building confidence. You'll find a mix of smaller corals and sponges, often home to schooling fish and some of the usual reef characters like snapper and grunt. It’s a relaxed dive, good for a first Caribbean dip.
