Car Wrecks (Kokomo Beach) - Curaçao Southeast

Florida is a proper dive, a deep wreck with a real sense of history. It’s a tugboat, not a purpose-sunk artificial reef, and that story of eleven crew caught in bad weather still hangs over it. We love dropping down onto the main deck at 29 metres, with the visibility usually a clean 20 metres or so, letting you really take in the scale. You can still make out the boiler, the winches, even the propeller and rudder. It's not just a collection of metal, though. Schools of horse-eye jacks often swirl above the bow, and we’ve seen big black margates hanging around the superstructure, completely unbothered. Keep an eye out for nurse sharks tucked into the nooks and crannies – they're regulars here. It’s a dive for those comfortable with depth and who appreciate exploring something genuinely lost to the sea.
