Jack-A-Dan is a lovely, easygoing dive, perfect for when you want to unwind and focus on the small stuff. We love the big, bright sand patch, almost like a stage for the reef life, and we often find stingrays just chilling out there. The shallow depth, maxing out around 13m, means you can really take your time, letting those long bottom times stretch out. We often spend ages scrutinising the reef wall that frames the sand, finding tiny banded blennies poking from holes, or spotting a mottled conger moray peeking out. It’s a photographer’s dream, particularly for macro, allowing you to compose shot after shot without feeling rushed. You’ll see plenty of grunts schooling over the corals and if you’re patient, even an American pugnose pipefish tucked away. This site is our pick for a relaxed afternoon dive, especially if you're keen on finding those smaller, more intricate creatures.
