Royal Reef - Curaçao Southeast

Tanjung Neraka, a quick boat ride from Kusu Island, is one of those corner sites that really depends on the day. We’ve done it both north and south, pushed along a sloping reef that, for the most part, keeps a nice coral coverage. The currents here can be robust, so it’s not a place to dither. Keep an eye out for blacktip reef sharks cruising the blue, and we’ve often spotted schools of snapper and sweetlips tucked into the bommies. It’s a good spot for a drift, especially if you enjoy a bit of pace to your diving, and maxing out at 22m, it’s a comfortable depth for most.
