Seaklub Samana - Bayahibe & La Romana
The team at Seaklub Samana really shine for their laid-back, professional approach, perfect if you’re looking for a smooth diving experience from a resort base. We love that they operate right out of a 5-star all-inclusive, making those morning dives incredibly convenient – just roll out of bed and onto the boat. They’re PADI 5 Star, so expect solid instruction, whether you’re taking your first breaths underwater or moving up to advanced. Bayahibe and La Romana offer some genuinely lovely diving, and Seaklub Samana knows how to make the most of it. Our favourite dives here are often the shallower reefs, where the sunlight just blasts through, illuminating schools of blue tangs and sergeant majors darting through the elkhorn coral. Keep an eye out for the green morays tucked into crevices; sometimes you’ll see their heads poking out, just observing. They’re also well-placed for trips to Saona Island, which we’d suggest for its calm, clear conditions – great for spotting eagle rays cruising by. We’ve found their morning trips often hit the best visibility, before any afternoon chop picks up. If you’re traveling with family or just want to avoid any logistical fuss, Seaklub Samana makes it effortless.
