Eden plongée - Cousteau Reserve

Eden Plongée sits right in the heart of Cousteau Reserve, and it’s a site we always make time for. What you get here is a real feeling of the Caribbean reef, healthy and bustling. We love to drop in and drift along the wall, which gently slopes from around 10 meters down to 25 meters, perfect for a long, relaxed dive. The hard corals are doing well, plenty of brain corals and some massive barrel sponges that feel ancient. Keep an eye out for hawksbill turtles, we often see them munching on sponges or tucked into a crevice. We’ve also had some fantastic encounters with schools of Atlantic spotted dolphins here, particularly in the later morning, just before the midday sun gets too intense. They’re curious and playful, and seeing them streak by underwater is just something else. For macro lovers, there are brittle stars galore – we’ve spotted everything from the striking red cushion sea stars to the more elusive harlequin brittle stars tucked under rocks. It’s a site that gives a gentle introduction to the Reserve for newer divers, but still holds enough interest for those of us who’ve been around a while. If you want a solid, enjoyable dive without any real challenges, Eden Plongée delivers.
