With 331+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales and manta rays - Les Augustins offers some of Cousteau Reserve's richest reef diving. Water ranges 27-30°C, warmest August, September, October.
Les Augustins is a popular spot in Cousteau Reserve, mostly a drift dive along a volcanic reef wall. You'll find plenty of gorgonian corals clinging to the rock, with barracuda and schooling jacks often cruising by in the blue. It’s a pretty straightforward dive, good for most experience levels looking for a relaxing cruise past some decent Caribbean reef life. Watch for the occasional turtle munching on sponges near the shallower parts.
