PETIT MALENDURE - Cousteau Reserve
Petit Malendure is where many divers get their first taste of Cousteau Reserve, and it’s a good spot to start. At a gentle 9m, it’s a calm, shallow entry that’s great for refining buoyancy or for anyone fresh out of their open water course. You’ll weave around brain corals and some good-sized gorgonians, often spotting juvenile trumpetfish, parrotfish grazing on the reef, and the occasional spotted drum tucked into a crevice. It’s not a thrill-a-minute dive, but it’s a reliable, pleasant introduction to the reserve’s easygoing charm.
