VIMY - Ocho Rios
The VIMY wreck off Ocho Rios offers a surprisingly engaging dive, especially considering its shallow 10-meter depth. This isn't a huge, intact vessel, but a scattered, dangerous wreck that ran aground on the Formigas Bank. What we found was a collection of twisted metal and broken sections, now well-colonized by the reef. Barracuda often hang out here, still as statues, and we’ve spotted plenty of squirrelfish darting through the crevices. It's a relaxed dive, good for newer divers or those looking for an easy second tank, focusing on the smaller critters that have made this artificial reef their home.
