With 493+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, blacktip reef sharks, bull sharks, dolphins and eagle rays - Windows Reef offers some of Fajardo & East Coast's richest reef diving. Water ranges 27-30°C, warmest August, September, October.
Windows Reef, off Puerto Rico's East Coast, sits at a comfortable 14 meters, making it a solid choice if you're just getting your fins wet or prefer a relaxed pace. We've always found it a gentle entry point. Expect to cruise over a sandy bottom dotted with coral heads, home to plenty of angelfish and the occasional nurse shark napping under a ledge. Visibility here is usually pretty reliable, letting you take your time spotting parrotfish munching away. It's not a thrill-a-minute dive, but it's consistent, enjoyable, and a good bet for a calm afternoon beneath the waves.
