DUNDALK - St. Kitts

Dundalk is one of those shallow wrecks we keep coming back to, especially if we’re looking for a relaxing, easy dive. It’s barely four metres deep, a tanker blown ashore during Hurricane Klaus in ‘84. You’re essentially diving in a giant, open-air aquarium. What we love about Dundalk is how accessible it is. You can spend a good hour here, just finning around the hull. Sunlight streams through the water, illuminating the wreck’s skeletal structure, and you’ll spot all sorts of small reef fish darting in and out of the nooks and crannies. We’ve seen quite a few juvenile barracuda here, just hanging motionless, eyeing everything. It’s a fantastic spot for photographers, especially when the water is calm and the visibility stretches to 20 metres or more. We'd suggest going in the late morning, after any early boat traffic has settled and before the afternoon chop kicks in. It’s not a thrill-seeker's wreck, but it’s a brilliant, gentle dive, perfect for warming up or for divers who just want to chill out with some fish.
