TALATA - St. Kitts
The Talata, a motor vessel that went down in 1985, now sits upright in 22 metres of water off St. Kitts. It’s a respectable wreck, well-colonised after all these years. We typically find the cargo holds are the most interesting parts to peek into, though some of the superstructure is still intact enough for a quick swim-through if conditions are calm. Keep an eye out for the usual Caribbean suspects – schools of snapper often hang around the stern, and we’ve seen barracuda lurking in the deeper shadows towards the bow. It's a solid dive for those who enjoy a bit of history and structure, without anything too challenging.
