Coral Gardens Snorkling Trail

Coral Gardens is a solid choice if you're looking for an easy snorkel, especially for families. We love that it’s right off the beach, meaning no boat trip is needed – just walk in and go. The reef here isn't going to blow your mind with massive coral formations, but it’s remarkably healthy for a shore entry and shallow. You'll spot plenty of juvenile fish darting amongst the pillar coral and finger coral; we always see schoolmaster and bluestriped grunt hanging out. Keep an eye out for the yellowhead jawfish popping out of their sandy burrows – they’re a favourite of ours to watch. Visibility usually sits around 15-20 metres on a calm day, which is perfectly fine for the 3-5 metre depth you'll be exploring. It’s a gentle introduction to the Turks and Caicos underwater world, ideal for those new to snorkelling or anyone wanting a relaxed dip without the logistics.
