WITSERVICE IV - St. Thomas & St. John

The Witservice IV, a tugboat that met its end on Little Saba Reef back in '81, is a proper St. Thomas classic. She’s sitting upright at 33 meters, and you can’t help but feel a bit of history here, knowing the story of her journey from St. Croix gone wrong. We love a wreck with character, and this one delivers. Our favourite part is poking around her superstructure. Schools of grunts and snapper often hang out in the wheelhouse, giving it a ghost ship vibe. The exterior is nicely encrusted with hard corals, and you’ll spot plenty of lobsters tucked into crevices. Take your time to really explore the deck, but keep an eye on your depth and bottom time. This site is best for experienced divers comfortable with deeper profiles, especially since currents can pick up a bit out here. It's a proper wreck dive, not just a reef with a boat on it.
