With 192+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, dolphins, lemon sharks, nurse sharks and sea turtles - Mexico Rocks offers some of Ambergris Caye's richest reef diving. Water ranges 27-31°C, warmest August, September, October.
Mexico Rocks gives you a shallow, calm dive. We've often found it a good spot for newer divers or those looking for a relaxed afternoon. You’ll weave through small coral heads and rock formations, usually spotting nurse sharks napping under ledges and plenty of conch on the sandy bottom. Visibility is generally good here, making it a reliable choice.
