Shark and Ray Alley - Ambergris Caye
Shark and Ray Alley, just off Ambergris Caye, is a shallow, sandy patch where southern stingrays and nurse sharks congregate. It's a busy spot, often with several boats, but the rays and sharks are generally quite accustomed to divers. We find it's a good introduction for newer divers or those looking for a guaranteed close encounter, rather than a reef exploration. Visibility is usually pretty good here, allowing for clear views of the action.
