The 126 site at Turneffe Atoll is a solid option if you’re looking for a shallow wreck dive. It’s a barge, sitting upright in about two metres of water, so it’s completely accessible to anyone, even snorkelers. We’ve found a surprising amount of small stuff tucked into its nooks and crannies over the years: juvenile drum fish, tiny blennies peering out from the rust, and often a grumpy parrotfish or two nibbling on the algae. It’s a nice, easy dive, perfect for photographers wanting to practice their shallow water skills, or just for a relaxed afternoon exploring a bit of history.
