Alcyone - Cocos Island
The Bat Cave at Apo Reef offers a unique twist for divers looking beyond open reef dives. It's a shallow cavern, easily accessible, where you surface inside to a dome-like chamber filled with hanging bats. Below the surface, the cave itself is fairly bare, but the draw is definitely the air pocket and its residents. We'd suggest it for divers who enjoy novelty and are comfortable with overhead environments, though it's not a deep penetration dive.
