Manuelita Deep - Cocos Island

Manuelita Deep, on the west side of Manuelita Island, is where we head when we’re really hoping for hammerheads. It’s an advanced dive, for sure, with some serious surge in the shallows as you descend past the coral-draped boulders. Find a good spot on the reef, perhaps tucked behind a rock, and let the show come to you. You’ll often see whitetip reef sharks resting on ledges on the way down, and marbled rays cruise through, but the real draw is that blue water where the scalloped hammerheads patrol. Keep an eye out into the current.
