With 288+ marine species recorded in the area - including blacktip reef sharks, blue sharks, dolphins, eagle rays and giant moray eels - Punta Maria offers some of Cocos Island's richest wall diving.
Punta Maria offers a classic Cocos experience, with a good chance to see schooling hammerheads in the blue. Keep an eye out for white-tip reef sharks patrolling the reef edges, and sometimes a silvertip will cruise by. It's a site best suited for advanced divers comfortable with potential currents and deeper profiles, as the action often happens further out.
