With 168+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, orcas, sea turtles, whale sharks and pufferfish - Bear s Den offers some of Roatán's richest cave diving. Water ranges 27-30°C, warmest August, September, October.
Bear’s Den in Roatán is a small cave system, a decent option if you like exploring overhead environments. It’s not a huge labyrinth, more a series of swim-throughs and chambers where you can poke around with your dive light. We think it’s best suited for divers comfortable with enclosed spaces and looking for a change from the usual wall dives.
