Duppy Waters - Roatán

Jammin, on the southeast side of Gili Trawangan, is a site we keep coming back to when we’re in the mood for a slow, detailed dive. It starts as a rubbly slope from about five meters down to sixteen, then transitions to sand. We love it for the sheer volume of macro life tucked away in those rubbly patches. Take your time here. We often find ourselves just hovering, watching a cuttlefish change colours or trying to spot a scorpionfish perfectly blended into the rubble. Further out on the sandy bottom, the blue-spotted stingrays are a regular sight, often half-buried. Keep an eye out for the Australian bluespotted maskray too – they're a bit shyer, but worth the patience. This site really suits divers who enjoy a relaxed pace and have an eye for the small stuff. It’s not about big pelagics or dramatic walls, it’s about the nudibranchs, the seastar shrimps, and the careful search.
