With 382+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, eagle rays, giant moray eels, humpback whales and sperm whales - Thakau Levu offers some of Kadavu & Great Astrolabe Reef's richest reef diving.
Thakau Levu offers a solid reef dive within the Great Astrolabe. We've often found good numbers of reef sharks cruising the edges here, along with the usual cast of fusiliers and snapper schools. It's a pretty straightforward dive, suitable for most experience levels looking for a reliable, healthy reef. You'll likely see decent coral coverage and a scattering of pelagics if you keep an eye on the blue.
