Iaora Diving - Moorea & Tahiti
The team at Iaora Diving are the real deal, operating out of both Tahiti and Moorea. We’ve always found their Moorea setup particularly inviting, nestled right on the Sofitel’s property. It means you’re often just a few steps from the boat, which is a blessing when you’re lugging gear in the tropical heat. They’re PADI 5 Star, so you know the training is solid, but what we love most is their approach to guiding. It’s less about ticking off sites and more about really *seeing* what’s there. On a morning dive near the Tiki site, we once spent twenty minutes just observing a single lemon shark cruising the sandy bottom, the light dappling through the water above us. They’re excellent with new divers, patient and clear, but they also give experienced divers the space to explore. If you’re looking to dive a mix of channels and outer reef in Moorea, with a crew that feels like old friends by the end of the week, Iaora Diving is our pick. Try to catch an early boat; the light in the water is something else.
