Mill Channel old cleaning station - Yap

Mill Channel’s old cleaning station is one of those sites we always recommend, especially for a morning dive. You’re dropping into the channel itself, usually in some mild current, and then drifting along a reef wall that’s just buzzing. We love to watch the bigger pelagics cruise by in the blue, often grey reef sharks or the occasional silvertip. The cleaning station itself is where the real show happens. You’ll settle in, often behind a coral bommie, and just watch the queues form. Humphead wrasse, a few different parrotfish species, even giant trevally come in for a scrub. We’ve spent whole dives just mesmerised by the orderly chaos, the way a dozen rainbow parrotfish will wait their turn. It’s a pretty easy dive, just let the current do the work. It’s perfect for anyone who loves observing behaviour rather than just ticking off species.
