Hatsushima Futatsune - Izu Peninsula
Hatsushima Futatsune offers a comfortable dive for intermediates, usually peaking at around 20 meters. We often drop in to find the resident school of Japanese amberjack, sometimes numbering in the hundreds, circling in the blue. Keep an eye out for nudibranchs tucked into the rocky crevices, and we’ve even spotted banded sea snakes undulating through the shallows on a calm day. It's a nice easygoing second dive after exploring some of Izu’s deeper spots, with plenty to keep you occupied for an hour.
