With 369+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, bull sharks, humpback whales, seahorses and sea turtles - Hidenchigama offers some of Kerama Islands's richest diving. Water ranges 22-30°C, warmest July, August, September.
Hidenchigama is for divers who appreciate a challenge and dramatic topography. Strong currents often sweep through this deeper site, but for those comfortable in such conditions, the rewards are often worth it. We’ve seen large schools of jacks here, navigating the flow around impressive rock formations. It’s a site for experts, definitely not one for an easy drift.
