Overhead Rock - Okinawa Main Island

Overhead Rock delivers exactly what its name suggests, a substantial rock formation with a swim-through that keeps things interesting. It's not a deep dive, usually staying around 20-24 metres, which makes it a good intermediate option for those wanting to try a gentle overhead environment without committing to a full cave system. Inside, you'll find plenty of macro critters clinging to the walls, like crabs and shrimps hiding in the crevices, and sometimes a lionfish or two tucked into a corner. We'd suggest checking it out when the weather's a bit choppy on the outside reefs, as the rock provides some decent shelter.
