Barefoot Thila is a pinnacle dive where divers can encounter blue sharks, sea turtles and spinner dolphins. Water ranges 29-31°C, warmest March, April, May.
Barefoot Thila is a solid little pinnacle in Baa Atoll, perfect if you’re still getting comfortable or just want a relaxed dive. We’ve found it’s shallow enough, topping out around 24 meters, which means plenty of light and longer bottom times. You’ll usually see a good mix of smaller reef fish darting around the coral patches, and if you’re lucky, a turtle might cruise by. It’s a gentle introduction to Maldivian pinnacles, no heavy currents to worry about here.
