Orimas Thila is a pinnacle dive where divers can encounter blue sharks, sea turtles and spinner dolphins. Water ranges 29-31°C, warmest March, April, May.
Orimas Thila, in Baa Atoll, is a classic Maldivian pinnacle dive, hitting a maximum depth of 23 metres. We usually find it’s an intermediate dive, often with a decent current. The draw here is often the schools of grey reef sharks patrolling the edges of the thila. Keep an eye out for schooling bannerfish and fusiliers too. It’s a reliable spot if you're looking for pelagics, though it’s not always the most colourful reef.
