Entrence base - North Malé Atoll

Entrence Base is one of those North Malé spots we keep coming back to. We love it because it’s so consistently good for turtles, particularly the Olive Ridleys. Dive it slowly, drift along the reef, and keep your eyes peeled. We often spot them munching on the corals or just chilling out on the ledges, not bothered by divers in the slightest. Beyond the turtles, the reef itself has a great feel. You’ll see those vibrant blue surgeonfish zipping around, and we’ve found a few humpbacked conchs tucked into the sand patches. It’s not an adrenaline rush dive, more of a relaxed exploration, which makes it perfect for a leisurely morning or afternoon. While we haven't seen any roaring currents here, always check with your dive guide, it is the Maldives after all. This site is brilliant for photographers who want time to compose shots, and for anyone who just wants to spend quality time observing these gentle giants.
