Helengeli Thila - North Malé Atoll

Helengeli Thila, a solid intermediate dive in North Malé Atoll, offers a good taste of a Maldivian pinnacle. We’ve found the best approach is often a drift along its slopes, letting the current do the work. Keep an eye out for resident grey reef sharks patrolling the deeper sections, particularly where the thila drops to its maximum depth of 26m. You'll likely spot schools of blue-striped snapper congregating around the overhangs, and we’ve seen eagle rays glide past on more than one occasion. It’s a dependable dive, well-suited for those comfortable with some current and looking for classic Maldivian pelagic encounters.
