Iru Thila - North Malé Atoll

Iru Thila is a gentle introduction to Maldivian diving, perfect for those getting their fins wet. The reef tops out at 16 meters, making it an easy drift for beginners or a relaxed second dive for anyone. We’ve spotted parrotfish munching on corals here, their crunching audible if you slow down and listen. Look closely at the overhangs; they often shelter nurse sharks taking a nap. It’s not a high-octane site, but it’s consistently pleasant, offering a calm, colourful dive.
