Miyaru Thila - North Malé Atoll

Miyaru Thila translates to ‘Shark Point’ and it’s not hard to see why. This pinnacle in North Malé Atoll typically delivers on its name with grey reef sharks often patrolling the deeper sections. We like to drift along the reef, keeping an eye out for whitetips sleeping under ledges and schooling fusiliers shimmering like a curtain. It's a solid intermediate dive, best enjoyed when there's a bit of current to bring out the action, but nothing too wild. Expect depths around 26 metres, with plenty to see even if the sharks are taking a day off.
