SEAGULL (POSSIBLY) - North Malé Atoll

The "Seagull" in North Malé Atoll is one of those enigmatic wrecks that sparks a bit of debate. Officially, it’s listed as a steamship, sunk to a max depth of 30 metres, and classified as "dangerous." We’ve found that translates to a genuinely interesting dive for those who appreciate a bit of history and don't mind a slightly broken-up vessel. What you'll find here is a skeleton of a ship, now completely colonised by the reef. Look for schools of snapper weaving through the metal ribs, and we’ve often spotted moray eels peeking from beneath plates. It’s a good spot for wreck enthusiasts who enjoy picking apart the details of a fragmented vessel rather than exploring intact corridors.
